They only found one of her red ribbons in the woods. Who would have thought a clown could do such a thing?

You slowly recover consciousness. Your head hurts and you’re dizzy. You suddenly remember... Your dentist had called you in for your annual check-up. He found a molar he believed needed to be removed to prevent further problems. He sedated you with laughing gas, so that you would not have any pain during the extraction...

 

You look around you and realize that you are sitting in the waiting room together with several other patients who are slowly recovering consciousness. You then notice that the waiting room doors can only be opened from the other side.
You can also look into the dentist’s office, where you see a heavy metal door with a combination lock. The phone suddenly rings. You pick it up and hear: “Listen carefully. There isn’t much time. I’m Dr. Siènski’s secretary. I’ve watched his experiments for long enough. He is experimenting on patients with x-ray radiation. In the beginning, everything seemed to go smoothly. But then some patients started losing their teeth and hair and got sick. We have not seen a number of them for some time now…

They may very well be dead. I don’t dare go to the police because Dr. Siènski’s brother works there and would recognize me. But I can help you escape and find proof before he starts his experiments today. You first need to open his filing cabinet. He changes the code for the combination lock daily. That code is related to the order of the day’s patients. That’s all I know. You’ll find proof of Dr. Siènski’s shady practices in the cabinet, as well as the access code for his ‘special’ treatment room.

He’ll be back in an hour and will fill the waiting room with N2O – laughing gas. To prevent this, you’ll have to close the main gas supply in his ‘special’ treatment room. If you succeed, you’ll be able to overpower him when he walks into the room. I have to hang up now. Good luck!”

Dr. Siènski, your dentist, has called you in for
your annual check-up. With a bit of reluctance,
you keep your appointment and
end up in his chair.
Before you know it, he places an anaesthetic
mask over your face. The last thing you hear is
Dr. Siènski’s voice telling that he is going to
sedate you with laughing gas so that you will
not feel any pain when he extracts your molar.
Then everything goes black.

Your heart is beating in your throat when you get to the closed door to the captain’s cabin: Redbeard’s cabin. No time for hesitation now. This is not the moment to be thinking about the risks and possible consequences. Hurry up, sailor! This is your chance to leave your pirate existence behind and start a new life.

Finally, night falls over London. The lamplighter does the rounds through Lockholm Street. You and your friends creep around Pharaoh Hall, where famous Flaubert Moudin is performing his shows. You wait until the night guard starts his first round around the premises. Then you sneak inside via the main entrance. In exactly one hour, he will be back for his second round. Just as you are about to search through the reception desk in the Red Velvet Lobby,
the entrance door slams shut in the lock...

You open your eyes, and all you can see are colorful fish at first. The small room is pitch-black. You can hear strange, muffled banging and soft panting. It takes a while until you realize that you and your friends are under water, at great depth. Then you remember snippets of what happened...

There was a big argument with the seller of an old submarine you and your friends were going to buy and do up. Once you arrived at the old harbor shed, you found the submarine to be in a very poor condition. The vessel was worth nowhere near the agreed € 1.2M in cash.

Before you realized what went on, the owner yelled out: “Hand over the money!” In the struggle that ensued, the seller lost his disguise. “That was a bad mistake. I will now have to kill you!” he yelled...
You get a fright when suddenly an alarm sounds in the submarine with a harsh voice saying: “Emergency procedure put into operation; unlock the emergency door immediately.” And a few seconds later: “Final warning! Just 15 minutes of oxygen left.” ... “Final warning! Just 15 minutes of oxygen left.” Fortunately, the emergency lights have been turned on. You quickly glance at your watch; the time is seventeen minutes past two.

And then one final memory snippet of the old harbor shed: a hard, bony fist comes flying towards your face at high speed... wham!

You realize that your undersea adventures are not without risk, but you have never had any real concerns.
Today is the last day of your mission, which is being conducted just off the coast. While you and your colleagues are setting up the camera to fi lm the reefs in the front compartment, you suddenly hear a loud bang. A collision? A torpedo? The submarine shakes on all sides, the lights and computers shut down and then you hear a frightening scraping sound. It is as if you have gotten stuck somewhere and the ensuing scraping along the rocks and cliffs cannot be good for the sub. You help your friends back onto their feet. You see the emergency lights that indicate that the generator responsible for charging the batteries is broken. The sub is damaged and may even have sprung a leak. There is just enough power in the main battery to generate oxygen for an hour. There is too little power to operate the sub the usual way (electrically), so you will have to perform all operations manually. Everything from navigating; to locating and restarting the engine; to rising to the surface. Luckily, you find the old fashioned emergency manual! Your lives are on the line…

You love your work as a researcher on a small submarine. Your dream has come true now that you are mapping out the most unexplored places on earth, deep-sea caves. You work with a team of individuals who you now call friends. The work is not easy, requiring significant physical training and apart from your knowledge of marine biology, you have also had to learn quite a bit about submarine technology.

The time has come: you are now officially a soldier. You have completed all the necessary training and have been sent to a country far, far away. A bloody civil war has been raging here for years. The resistance has been broken and peace talks are being conducted between the new government and the rebels. To prevent hostilities from flaring up again, a military force will be stationed in the country until the new government is firmly entrenched.

Your mission is to take photographs of a number of locations indicated by informants. It is a dangerous mission because hostile groups are still active in this region.
In other words, it is not a mission for the inexperienced. Fortunately, the helicopter is piloted by the strict but fair Captain Salvador Alvarez, a decorated veteran who knows the inhospitable region like the back of his hand.

But Alvarez is not his usual calm self today. He seems to be ill at ease. All of you notice this, but no one dares say anything. A simple soldier does not ask a captain about his state of mind, of course. Before you know it, you’d be scrubbing toilets for a few weeks.

Once all of the photographs have been taken, Alvarez gives a sign that you understand to mean that he plans to initiate the return flight. Just when everyone thinks that things are going well and perhaps it really is nothing more than a routine mission, the engine starts to sputter and choke. Alvarez gestures that he’s taking it down… What’s happening? You don’t know where you are exactly, but what you do know for certain is that you’re still above enemy territory. The helicopter loses altitude extremely quickly and hits the ground with a thundering roar. Everything goes black.

When you all come to again, you notice that Alvarez has disappeared. Did he flee? Did he go to look for help? You’re stranded in enemy territory… and on the edge of a huge ravine. It will be dark in an hour, and a rescue will no longer be possible, leaving you exposed to the enemy’s nightly patrols.

THE HELICOPTER LOSES ALTITUDE EXTREMELY QUICKLY AND HITS THE GROUND WITH A THUNDERING ROAR.

If the code is incorrect, you will hear an ‘error signal’ and your remaining time will be reduced by 1 minute. Then try again to find the correct code. If the code is correct, you will hear victory music and the timer will stop

Digital Chrono Decoder: Drag a key to the center to enlarge it. Then drag the key to 1 of the 4 openings in the Chrono Decoder to place the expanded key in that location in the Chrono Decoder. At any time, you can retrieve a key from the Chrono Decoder by dragging it back.  As soon as the 4 th key is placed, the code will be checked automatically. Hints: As soon as you hear the hint signal (‘beep-beep’), you’re allowed to read a hint. If the hint is no longer needed, then you’re on schedule.

Once you press START CHRONO DECODER you will see the 6 different keys, the Chrono Decoder with 4 key openings and a clock counting from 60 minutes to 0. Each key contains other information that matches the codes you will find during the game (find more information in the game rules). Drag a key to the center to enlarge it.  Then drag the key to 1 of the 4 openings in the Chrono Decoder to place the expanded key in that location in the Chrono Decoder. At any time, you can retrieve a key from the Chrono Decoder by dragging it back. But once the fourth key is placed in the Chrono Decoder, the code will be checked and you will hear a "good" or "wrong" signal. Welcome to Escape Room The Game by Identity Games. Feel the thrill and enjoy the mystery from a escape game in your own home! As in the case in many Escape Rooms across the world, you are “locked in” in this game and the object is to find the codes to “escape” within 60 minutes by solving puzzles in riddles.

Use your brain! Teamwork, good communication, ingenuity, creativity, logic and attention for detail are also very important.

You start by opening an envelope and reading the introduction of the mystery. Solving the mystery is self-explanatory. In addition, the envelope are different attributes necessary for finding the final parts of its code. And for every player there is a personal puzzle that could be launched immediately.

Each turn you explore one of the elements in the room on the board. Here you will find probably one or more hidden clues to carry along a portion of the commission. Are you up for the Challenge?

During the game, you will occaionally come across the text or logo ‘ER’. This is important information as it means that you must convert something using 1 of the decoder systems on the two sides.
